Tidy Gardens | Weeding Technician (Seasonal)

Tidy Gardens is a small, professional organic garden care company focused on high-quality residential maintenance using quiet, human-powered methods — no chemicals, no gas-powered equipment.

We are currently hiring specifically for a Weeding Technician role, focused on detailed garden bed maintenance.

 

The Role

This position is centered on hand weeding and maintaining clean, well-kept garden beds.

It is independent, repetitive, detail-oriented outdoor work. You will be working alone at residential properties, maintaining a consistent standard of quality.

 

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Hand-pulling weeds (majority of the role)
  • Cleaning up and maintaining garden bed edges
  • Deadheading and light plant care
  • Keeping gardens looking clean, intentional, and well-maintained
  • Working independently at multiple properties

Who This Is For

  • Want landscaping, construction, or heavy equipment work
  • Prefer fast-paced or highly social work environments
  • Are primarily interested in planting or design work
  • Get bored easily doing repetitive tasks

Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Able to perform physical outdoor work (bending, kneeling, lifting 25–40 lbs)
  • Available weekdays during daytime hours
  • Consistent and reliable attendance

Schedule & Structure

  • Seasonal: Spring through Fall
  • Full-time or part-time
  • Monday–Friday, daytime hours
  • Independent work at assigned properties

Compensation

  • Paid trial day starting at $18/hour
  • $20–$25/hour depending on reliability, speed, and independence
  • Raises based on consistency and quality of work
