Garden beds are living systems that require knowledgeable, consistent care — not occasional attention. Tidy Gardens specializes exclusively in the ecological stewardship of ornamental and edible landscapes, providing the kind of detailed maintenance most general landscaping companies are not designed to deliver.
Our work is guided by organic land-care principles that protect soil health, plant vitality, and the surrounding environment. Services are tailored to each property and carried out with a long-term, relationship-based approach.
We follow the standards of the Accredited Organic Land Care Professional (AOLCP) program through the Northeast Organic Farming Association (NOFA) and bring over ten years of experience in organic agriculture and horticulture. Tidy Gardens is also a member of the Ecological Landscape Alliance (ELA) and Permaculture Institute of the Northeast (PINA).

About the Owner
Tidy Gardens is owned and operated by Allie Boyd, an organic gardener with a professional background in ecological land care, small-scale agriculture, and community planning.
Allie founded her gardening business in 2017 to provide homeowners with a thoughtful alternative to conventional landscaping — one focused on plant health, soil care, and long-term sustainability rather than quick cosmetic results. She personally maintains gardens throughout the South Shore, specializing in detailed weeding, fine pruning, vegetable gardens, and organic plant care.
Her work is informed by both hands-on experience and formal education. Allie holds a degree in Sociology and Anthropology and completed graduate-level study in Urban Planning and Community Development, with a focus on environmentally responsible neighborhoods and land use. She is also an Accredited Organic Land Care Professional through the Northeast Organic Farming Association and holds a Permaculture Design Certification, along with advanced training in native plants and residential landscape design.
Before starting Tidy Gardens, Allie worked in estate gardening, farm production, and permaculture settings, and has participated in sustainability and agricultural projects across New England, California and abroad. These experiences continue to shape her practical, ecology-first approach to garden care.
Clients appreciate her reliability, attention to detail, and the level of knowledge she brings to maintaining complex residential gardens. Every property is cared for as a living system, with the goal of creating outdoor spaces that are both beautiful and environmentally responsible.
